History :
• The NCAA added women's gymnastics as a championship sport in 1982.
• Past champions have been University of Utah, University of Georgia, University of Alabama, UCLA, University of Florida, & University of Oklahoma.
• Most current champion - Oklahoma (2016)
• Most championships - Georgia with 10
• 3 divisions. Division I being the highest level.
• Currently 12 conferences (Big Ten, Big 12, EAGL, ECAC, Ind., MAC, MIC, MPSF, MRGC, Pac 12, SEC, & WIAC).
• 4 events (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor). 6 girls (usually) are up on each event with 5 scores counting.
